You know what I’m really fond of ?
Flowers, trees and weird looking plants. The way these beautiful stemmed things grow, leave me astonished. The way they look, the way they help us survive by just living, and last but not least, simply the way they attract our eyes to look at them bloom and despite the corruption,it reminds us about the beautiful side to this world.

From a teeny seed, they sprout and face the world with such great dignity as they stand against the harsh weather.Day by day, they grow stronger and even build their own personalities with a variety of colors. They swing back and forth, but are always attached to the Earth. The Earth is not only their mother, but also their hearts.Without it,their personalities will fade, and soon they will diminish.
But flowers aren’t the only pretty things in the world, trees are as amazing! Trees are pretty normal to the eyes, but if you actually take out the time to examine a tree, you’ll find that the branches shape up in such complex ways,as if personalizing it’s backround and what it’s lived through. They live for sooo long, that if they had mouths they could tell us the history of Earth itself in the best way;story telling. You might pass by a tree and think nothing at all,but that tree which stands in front of you is more wise than any of us living. That tree held nests in it’s hair and still shelters us from the cold and dark, today. That tree lived through all of that crap behind us,and it has a history.A history longer than any living thing on this planet. It stands in one place for it’s whole entire life, but carries the most important role of all.It has a life. It’s life means our life.

Now, we’re cutting down these trees for the sake of our own satisfaction! We’re cutting down Earth’s history and demolishing every little thing that reminds us of the past. What we don’t see, however,is that without these trees we wouldn’t be here in the first place.Heck, why do people think greenhouse effects are going up?! The only thing, the only thing we see in this world is economy.Money, bling, cash however you call it,that’s all anyone lives for today. Some people say money is life,I used to be one of them.

Some people say money is life, now I disagree.
*Sigh* Anyway..
During the summer of grade eight,I had decided to try gardening as I’ve always found it interesting.I began my search to find the perfect thing to grow.In the end,I chose water melon seeds and corn.At first,I thought gardening would be beyond easy.I mean come on,all you have to do is shove some seeds down in the dirt and water daily. How hard could it be ? No,no,and just for the hell of it,no again.Gardening takes A LOT of patience. And when i say A LOT,with capital letters,i mean A LOOOOT!
Firstly, there are 2 specific times when you should water seeds.
1.) When the sun begins to rise. (The morning)
2.)When the sun goes down.(The evening)
Secondly, you have to know exactly how much water the seeds need, not only for the time being, but for the whole entire day. That’s the reason why it seems like people are drowning their plants, but really all they’re doing is feeding the thing.
Thirdly, the soil should be rich and the area you garden in should have a fair amount of space.
Last but not least,be patient because it WILL take a lot of time. And I do advise you to keep the seedling happy because happiness is something everyone requires in order to survive. : ) Tehe.
Now,back to grade eight gardening.
As the result of pulling out tough weeds on hot summer days, watering (almost) daily, and being incredibly unpatient,I still managed to grow a few things but they didn’t exactly turn out the way i had imagined. You see, only one watermelon was actually edible. As for the other two,I remember heading outside to check on them only to see a couple of stupid birds eating the damn thing before i did. >_> Which pissed me off quite a bit.As for the corn, from the outside view it looked great! But when i tore it apart, the yellow bead thingies were completley flat.
Still, going back to the day when i ate that piece of “Sophia planted watermelon” it tasted much better to know that you, yourself had grew it.So I guess you could say hard labor in the hot sun,was worth it in the end.It was also pretty fascinating how small a watermelon could be and how big it could get! As long as something had survived anyway!
(Damn,I really should have taken a picture before eating it. T_T)
This year however,I’ve decided to grow some pretty flowers. XD I’m also planning to buy a venus fly trap, which is actually a type of plant that eats on it’s own. It’s some pretty cool stuff.

All this nature talk reminds me of something else…
You can’t say that you haven’t a watched a movie where a boy gives a girl some flowers as a way of showing how he feels for her.But WHY flowers that are dead!? I’m not saying dead flowers aren’t cute and all,but wouldn’t you rather give someone something that symbolizes everlasting … love!? Flowers that are harshly being picked out of their roots to be handed over to someone, should atleast be flowers that last. I mean come on,
taking a poor flowers life only to make someone smile for a moment,is a waste of a life.Making someone smile forever, well now that’s a different story.
