Remedy The Tree

Today,my sister needed to buy a desk, and since she always needs an opinion,I decided to go with her.So off we went to Ikea, looking this way and that.I really cannot say how much I enjoy exploring that store! It’s got so many catchy things, and usually I tend to ridicule advertisements, but my ears are completely open for Ikea. It’s simple, well priced and also stylish.I mean,MAN,THAT STORE FREAKING ROCKS.It’s got a little green room where all these cool looking plants and paintings are,a very modern looking kitchen section, bedroom section(which i envied),a lighting room(my 2nd favorite after the green room),and so many other things! It’s like entering a carnival and listing out your favorite rides. There are just so many great and creative ideas in Ikea, that  it makes you wanna buy a mansion just to fill it with Ikea’s furniture. XD

Anyway,in the end,I also ended up with something.

1.)A plant which I fell in love with at first sight.I gotta say,it was the best 20 bucks i’ve ever spent. My plants name is Remedy. : D And it’s a Bonsai Ficus.Sort of like a mini tree.Isn’t it cute? : D

2.) And also these wacky lights which i’m going to place right above my comfortable reading couch.

Next time I go I must buy a desk pad as well!

Hm,I think i’m officially hooked.

Welcome,welcome.

Today was the day that Nazmin had come back to school, after a good month off in India. She had some interesting stories to tell, and was very amazed of how different the atmosphere in India was.At lunch, she had told me about riding a camel and how unbalanced it was.(You know,I always thought getting on a camel wouldn’t be too difficult..turns out,i was wrong.)And how at every corner, there’d be beggars begging for money and it’d be really sad  ignoring their cries as they couldn’t tip them all.She also brought the group little souvenirs, which I thought was very thoughtful.lol She bought everyone bracelets except me,because she knows I’m not very fond of jewelry, which made me laugh quite a bit. XD

Instead she had gotten me a little camel, which is another animal that should really be in my top 5 favorite animal list..

Now Wombo,(my lonely figure man),has someone to play with.

Anyway,Welcome back Nazmin! XD And thanks again for the souvenir.

(That is all for now.)

Cleaning Out My Memory Box

Boy is it funny cleaning out my memory box.Looking back at all the things you’ve done can make you laugh quite a bit.XD What’s even more funny is that I found Jashan’s Grade 8 French workbook in my memory box! How on EARTH did his workbook get into my memory box?! We would always get stuck being partners with eachother in French, and now we sit next to eachother in Spanish. He’s a pretty cool guy.I can’t wait to show him what I found! LOL

dsc00730 Anyway, that’s how bad my room looked when i was taking out what i didn’t think was necessary. lol  All my sister’s were cheering me on(sarcastically) because I don’t usually take out the time to organize my things. XD

dsc00733

Many people always ask me, “OoOo,What’s in your memory box?”

And I say, “Stuff.” : )

Today i’ll specify the word “stuff”.

As you can see,I laid out a couple of things on my bed.

1.Firstly,The penguin is supposedly a piggy bank that i tried to make in grade eight.lol I gotta admit, even though it doesn’t look awesome,it’s priceless to my eyes. Not because of the value ofcourse, but for how many memories it holds.

2. The disney album has some pictures of me and my friends back in the day.XD

3.Those stuffed animals are all gifts from my friends. You could never go wrong with stuffed animals.I especially like the monkey. It’s got this funny label on the back of it’s jacket.: D

4.) That little blue book that has a 3D dog on it.LOL I wrote a story in it when i was in grade 5.And NO one has ever read it before.lol My grammar and punctuation was horrible back then.Makes me laugh everytime i read it.

5.) The agenda actually wasn’t too long ago.Only a year back.It not only has what i had to do for homework, but all of the events and inside jokes that happened during grade 9.I think that’s gotta be my most valued treasure in my memory box.

6.) John lennon painting XD Ofcourse,it doesn’t actually fit in the box(or the picture),but it fits right in my heart.Treasured forever right here. : ) —> <3 <—-.I worked really hard on that painting, and it also carries all the good times I’ve had in Art class with Mr.Therrien and my friends. In fact, everytime i feel troubled or down at school,I go straight to the Art Class. It’s truly my sanctuary, and Mr.T’s the best teacher ever!

7.) Last but not least, the greatest slingshot on Earth.I can’t remember how far back this was,but i predict i had this during elementary school.Amana and I had broken her old neighbors shed window by slinging a rock right into it.LOL We were pretty scared about it,but damn it’s so funny now that i think of it.LOOOOL God,there’s probably so many bugs in that shed right now.I don’t feel bad about it,they were crazy neighbors.

dsc007361

I almost forgot! I bet you can’t figure out what this is. >: )

Done guessing?

It’s a shoe i made in Art class of 07. I can’t say how many memories flood my mind when i look at this.Grade eight was a pretty awesome yet confusing year.lol

Anyway, that’s that. There’s ALOT more but I’m not gonna go any further than 7 items.I hope this post wasted a good 5 minutes of your life.

Neat and tidy after 2 hours of using my organizational skills. : D

A Piece of My Mind

If there’s one thing I suck at and hate doing,it’s gotta be saying no.I can’t say no.These two letters seem to be so difficult to speak!

Saying “no” makes me feel horrible.Letting a person down, makes me feel twice as horrible. You see,it’s not that I don’t want to,I would like to,and every time i say “no” there’s something behind it.The only time i say no is when I have a reasonable answer to back it up,(whether I tell the person or not).Other wise,I wouldn’t hesitate to say yes, even if my heart truly wants to say no.

Let me give an example.

My mum had given me a 20 dollar bill for lunch money.By the end of that same day,I had 5 bucks left in my pocket due to everyone who asked me for a buck or two.It was really supposed to go towards my lunch for a good 2 weeks, but I’m very vulnerable at times like that.

This not only happens with me “financially” but “socially” as well.

If i had planned to,let’s say, chill out for a day and a friend asks me if I’d come with her to a basketball game or something like that,I’d say yes, even when really,I’d rather just spend some leisure time at home.

Other times,it’s really not up to me.

To conclude, this post is a piece of my vulnerable mind.Sadly,it’s very complex.

Or at least, that’s what I think.

Surrey;The Next Toronto

Surrey is getting freaking scary! There’re shootings every corner of this damn place, and although it’s only gang related, anyone who’s in the way of a war could go down as well.I advise you all to be very, very careful and don’t go strolling out with your friends in the dark.Anything could happen. O_O

Tree Hugger

You know what I’m really fond of ?

Flowers, trees and weird looking plants. The way these beautiful stemmed things grow, leave me astonished. The way they look, the way they help us survive by just living, and last but not least, simply the way they attract our eyes to look at them bloom and despite the corruption,it reminds us about the beautiful side to this world.

thumbs-up

From a teeny seed, they sprout and face the world with such great dignity as they stand against the harsh weather.Day by day, they grow stronger and even build their own personalities with a variety of colors. They swing back and forth, but are always attached to the Earth. The Earth is not only their mother, but also their hearts.Without it,their personalities will fade, and soon they will diminish.

But flowers aren’t the only pretty things in the world, trees are as amazing! Trees are pretty normal to the eyes, but if you actually take out the time to examine a tree, you’ll find that the branches shape up in such complex ways,as if personalizing it’s backround and what it’s lived through. They live for sooo long, that if they had mouths they could tell us the history of Earth itself in the best way;story telling. You might pass by a tree and think nothing at all,but that tree which stands in front of you is more wise than any of us living. That tree held nests in it’s hair and still shelters us from the cold and dark, today. That tree lived through all of that crap behind us,and it has a history.A history longer than any living thing on this planet. It stands in one place for it’s whole entire life, but carries the most important role of all.It has a life. It’s life means our life.

tree

Now, we’re cutting down these trees for the sake of our own satisfaction! We’re cutting down Earth’s history and demolishing every little thing that reminds us of the past. What we don’t see, however,is that without these trees we wouldn’t be here in the first place.Heck, why do people think greenhouse effects are going up?! The only thing, the only thing we see in this world is economy.Money, bling, cash however you call it,that’s all anyone lives for today. Some people say money is life,I used to be one of them.

cutting-down

Some people say money is life, now I disagree.

*Sigh* Anyway..

During the summer of grade eight,I had decided to try gardening as I’ve always found it interesting.I began my search to find the perfect thing to grow.In the end,I chose water melon seeds and corn.At first,I thought gardening would be beyond easy.I mean come on,all you have to do is shove some seeds down in the dirt and water daily. How hard could it be ? No,no,and just for the hell of it,no again.Gardening takes A LOT of patience. And when i say A LOT,with capital letters,i mean A LOOOOT!

Firstly, there are 2 specific times when you should water seeds.

1.) When the sun begins to rise. (The morning)

2.)When the sun goes down.(The evening)

Secondly, you have to know exactly how much water the seeds need, not only for the time being, but for the whole entire day. That’s the reason why it seems like people are drowning their plants, but really all they’re doing is feeding the thing.

Thirdly, the soil should be rich and the area you garden in should have a fair amount of space.

Last but not least,be patient because it WILL take a lot of time. And I do advise you to keep the seedling happy because happiness is something everyone requires in order to survive. : ) Tehe.

Now,back to grade eight gardening.

As the result of pulling out tough weeds on hot summer days, watering (almost) daily, and being incredibly unpatient,I still managed to grow a few things but they didn’t exactly turn out the way i had imagined. You see, only one watermelon was actually edible. As for the other two,I remember heading outside to check on them only to see a couple of stupid birds eating the damn thing before i did. >_> Which pissed me off quite a bit.As for the corn, from the outside view it looked great! But when i tore it apart, the yellow bead thingies were completley flat.

Still, going back to the day when i ate that piece of “Sophia planted watermelon” it tasted much better  to know that you, yourself had grew it.So I guess you could say hard labor in the hot sun,was worth it in the end.It was also pretty fascinating how  small a watermelon could be and how big it could get! As long as something had survived anyway!

(Damn,I really should have taken a picture before eating it. T_T)

This year however,I’ve decided to grow some pretty flowers. XD I’m also planning to buy a venus fly trap, which is actually a type of plant that eats on it’s own. It’s some pretty cool stuff.

venus-fly-trap

All this nature talk reminds me of something else…

You can’t say that you haven’t a watched a movie where a boy gives a girl some flowers as a way of showing how he feels for her.But WHY flowers that are dead!?  I’m not saying dead flowers aren’t cute and all,but wouldn’t you rather give someone something that symbolizes everlasting … love!? Flowers that are harshly being picked out of their roots to be handed over to someone, should atleast be flowers that last. I mean come on, :(   taking a poor flowers life only to make someone smile for a moment,is a waste of a life.Making someone smile forever, well now that’s a different story. :)

The Dome

Yesterday,Jus and I had went to the dome to watch and support Tamanawis’s basketball team.To my surprise,I found myself actually excited to watch a basketball game.My sudden mood swing was completely out of the ordinary….I was hopping up and down yelling out “DEFENCE” with the big crowd of people. When they missed, the crowd would go “OHhhh” and when they got a hoop everyone would chant like wild monkeys.

At beginning of the game,we were owning the other team.Everyone was very supportive and kept cheering for them. However,in the middle the other team stepped it up and we were struggling to compete. In the end,we had lost, and although it wasn’t a victory,it sure was one hell of a game.

It had also made me realize that sports bring people together.Everyone had a role during that game whether they were a team member, coach,or just a supporter.Watching this thrilling game, completely changed my view of sports.I always thought sports revolved around a stupid ball, net and whoever got the most points wins. However as i watched and observed,I figured that the players would only be a quarter of basketball without the coaches, and the fans.Together,as a combination the game suddenly comes to life!

….Now don’t get me wrong here,I’m not saying I absolutely adore sports now,

but I’m not saying it’s stupid either..
