Working With My Pops

As a kid,i’ve always found my dad’s auto shop the best place to be.For one, there was a cute and awfully lazy rotweiler hanging around. It might have been just a gaurd dog,but this dog i tell you,had so much character you’d think it was human.Back then,it was truly my best friend, and i’d do just about anything for it.I’d go out in the pooring rain to fix it’s little house so the water would stop leaking in on her.I’d take blankets and wrap it around Roxy,to prevent her from getting cold. This one time,I tried walking her to the park and she got so excited she began running.I,being so small didn’t have much control over her and before i knew it,i was on the ground being dragged by an overly hyper dog with my hands still gripping the leash.Hell, she was the best dog in the whole world and i can’t express how much i miss her, even if I don’t really like dogs too much anymore.

But Roxy wasn’t the only thing that was so great about my dad’s auto shop,it was also the different kind of cars lined up inside and out of the gigantic garage. My sisters and I used to go around searching the inside of the cars only to find weird and sometimes even pretty cool things.

There was also a park near by that we’d always go to,the park i loved so greatly, the one where baseballs flew right out of the fields and were collected by us to take to the mini candy store and in return we’d get free little bags of sugary candy. We’d sometimes sit on the bleachers and watch the baseballers play, while eating Spitz seeds.Man,those were certainly the days…

However, soon as time passed,I began to grow up,and suddenly my view on this little workshop had changed. And here i am,in my dad’s office without my sisters, and without Roxy, blogging about what an extraordinary place this used to be!

Well,I can’t say this place was as as it used to be,but i can say it’s as dusty as it was then.Today, however, was the day i changed that.Although i’m not a very organized person myself,i dusted, sweeped, and even mopped this whole place until it was speckless as that white, bald dude who always winks at you and advertises cleaning products.I really don’t mind waking up early to help my dad out.And even though i have no idea about cars,my dad says ”you’ll eventually learn.” He wants me to learn how to sell the cars and although i’m kind of reluctant i’m also sort of looking forward to it.I mean three days of this and i can fill up my 30 hours of work experience, and actually learn and expand my knowledge instead of just sitting there at home doing nothing.

Did I mention my dad got me a beetle? No! Well,he did,and he says if i learn how to drive a standard it’ll be mine.XD It looks like this.

ddd I love the yellow.

Anyway, hopefully waking up early will take me somewhere in the future.
